OnePlus 7 & 7T Series Discontinues Getting Software Updates

Oneplus 7 series was launched back in 2019. And there is no doubt about the popularity of these smartphones among the people.Owners of OnePlus 7 and 7T series phones have been recently informed that their devices will no longer be supported for software updates. This impacts current owners who may not be able to take advantage of new features, fixes, and security patches. The H.32 (GM1911 11.H.32) update version for oneplus 7 & F.18(HD1901 11.F.18) for oneplus 7T will be the Final stable software version for these devices. Why Software Updates Stopped

OnePlus has stopped providing software updates to the OnePlus 7 and 7T series devices due to their hardware becoming increasingly outdated. With newer ones available on the market, OnePlus decided it was no longer able to maintain the resources necessary for making sure that these older phones function optimally or are kept up-to-date with security patches. For this reason, they have decided to discontinue support for these models.

Though Oneplus 8 was launched in 2021. and as per officials it will get 3 years major software support and 4 years Security Updates.

Last Year oneplus confirmed, From 2023 onwards all onelplus smartphones will receive 4 years major SW upgrade and 5 years of security updates. so oneplus 11 will be getting this support.
